73: There are two main modules in LON_CAPA that provide the statistical information

77: can find useful reports about the course, regarding maps, problems included

1387: the first step of data mining stuff w</span>e want to make an initial
1388: effort to classify the students. </span></p>

1550: It might be interesting to group students with time of the first log
1551: on (beginning of assignment, middle of the week, last minute) and correlate
1552: this with the number of tries or number of solved problems. A student
1553: who gets all correct answers will not necessarily be in the successful
1554: group if they took an average of 5 tries per problem, but it should
1555: be verified from this research. </p>
1556: <p>We hope to find similar patterns of use in the data gathered from LON-CAPA,
1557: and eventually be able to make predictions as to the most-beneficial
1558: course of studies for each learner based on a limited number of variables
1559: for each individual student. Based on the current state of the learner
1560: in a learning sequence, the system could then make suggestions to the
1561: learner as to how to proceed. </p>
