String Response Problems

String response problems are problems in which the student submits a string of characters for their answer. Good examples of string response problems are vocabulary words and chemical formulas.

When you code string response questions, you have to specify the type. The three types are as follows:

  1. cs: Case Sensitive
  2. ci: Case Insensitive
  3. mc: Multiple Choice (case insensitive and order of characters unchecked).
